About this scheme
Tŷ Cerdd distributes National Lottery funds on behalf of Arts Council of Wales to help organisations develop music-making of all genres in communities around Wales. Three strands available:
Create — up to £2,000 to commission a composer, work with an artist in residence, or collaborate with a music-creator to write new work.
Engage — £250–£2,000 for live performances, online productions, workshops and community collaborations reaching audiences.
Inspire — up to £2,000 for music projects for participants aged under 26 (or under 31 for disabled participants).
Organisations can apply to one, two or all three strands simultaneously if activity fits. Four deadlines per year. 10% match funding required for Engage and Inspire (can be in-kind). Decisions within 5 weeks of deadline.
