About this scheme
New Writer Focus discovers and develops emerging NI-resident feature film writers. Up to four scripts are selected per cycle for a structured development programme including a writers' room, individual project development, seminars and networking.
Feature film scripts only — not TV. Open to writers who have not yet had a produced feature, including writing teams of up to two. Requires a completed first-draft script and one-page synopsis.
Selected writers may become eligible for an individual writer award after the development cycle.
