About this scheme
Northern Ireland Screen offers development funding to companies for feature film, television (all genres, including pilots) and interactive content. Short film development is not supported through this route.
Funding is typically provided as a recoupable loan. Project development awards are percentage-based against budget tiers up to £100,000. Slate development for two or more projects is also available.
Applicants must be independent production companies based in Northern Ireland, or European companies with an office and staff in Northern Ireland. Individual script development for features is through New Writer Focus instead.
