About this scheme

Supporting Grassroots Music is jointly funded by DCMS and Arts Council England to secure the sustainability of the grassroots music sector in England. Supports venues, festivals, promoters, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and sector bodies.

Eligible projects support the transition of artists and industry professionals to sustainable careers, develop new audiences, and strengthen the sector. Fundable activities include talent development programmes, equipment upgrades, building improvements, touring networks, and alternative uses of space.

Ten rounds per year on a rolling basis. Applications received after a deadline automatically enter the next round. Round 9 deadline: 23 April 2026; Round 10: 28 May 2026. Must apply via updated ACE grants system; allow up to 10 working days for profile validation.

England-only. Wales-based applicants should look to Arts Council of Wales, Creative Wales or Tŷ Cerdd.
